Schlage smart lock reset code Feb 3, 2022 · I have the schlage connect (same thing as the encode but zwave instead of wifi). The main reason for wanting to change my front door is to allow access when I’m not home. Or splurge and get smart locks on both. I have been very happy with it. Sadly, my experience with Schlage customer service was that they didn't know much about HomeKit. Sounds like the locksmith specializes in AssaAbloy brand locks. Yale: not so much Folks have talked about the Yale battery life - it eats batteries, and if you turn off wifi you can't connect remotely. I can connect to my Schlage Z-Wave AND have the batteries last. All manufactures selling DIY products at big box stores cut quality to lower cost. I mainly use my garage door so I’m thinking maybe I should have a smart lock on the garage door for easy access and to save money, the electronic keypad on the front door. However, I see nothing on how to reverse the electronics so that the lock believes the Aug 29, 2022 · I called Schlage based on what I learned from the thread and a representative confirmed that they printed the manuals to show both options because earlier releases came with a strike plate and reinforcement plate and newer models come with a single reinforcement strike that does away with the need for two separate items. I have to Schlage's, one is the encode plus, and both have worked very very well for years now. Aug 31, 2022 · I recently bought a Schlage Encode Plus and it's my first foray into Apple's Home app and HomeKit, other than the Apple TV. Big difference between schlage B60, and B560, B660. I bought it because it was the only ANSI grade 1 smart lock that existed at the time, and at its core, it's a lock that I want to protect the house with. I've been looking for a way to get my preexisting Schlage Encode WiFi locks into Home Assistant and saw this post saying that there is a custom integration! I ended up using this fork of the original project.
