I recently just got an email invitation from my engineer department for Tau Beta Pi. I have recently been considered for membership in the society, and was wondering, has anyone else here recently been considered and or is apart of Tau Beta Pi? A friend of mine apart of it was telling me to really consider it because of the connections and how distinguished it can appear on a resume. I would like to know what any of you people in the field think about the following: Is it worth my time to join Tau Beta Pi, apparently the nation's largest engineering honors fraternity / club. I think you really get things out of it if u are an officer cause you go to like national conferences (usually like oct) and regional conferences (springtime usually). Tau Beta Pi is one of the oldest and largest Engineering Honor societies in the US. There is a one time fee for initiation. edu/courses/ this site gives access to tons of past exams from current and past professors who taught the course.
